It may also please you guys to know that this video has done quite well for me. It has been a popular video and as I don't advertise the channel it means people are looking for info on these cars

If the intent of the YT reviews is money making then fair play to you , however it only confirms my opinion of it  a drive out with a lacklustre half hearted review that lacked any real enthusiasm to keep me interested

So you’ve expressed your disliking of his YT review on page 1, page 2 and page 3. I’m sure you can find an opportunity to express your bitterness on page 4 too! ....

@JayEmm...fair play to you for creating some content on these cars....would love to see some of the critics here have a go at making a good youtube video....it's not as easy as it looks!

Feel free to highlight where my bitterness supposedly lies & for what reason i should be bitter :? just to highlight in case you simply flirted over without actually digesting my replies
1st was simply to ask wtf the reviewer was
2nd was in direct reply to the reviewer making himself known
3rd was to acknowledge his YT views which he was clearly more proud of than the actual review content

bitterness ? no mate , just my honest thoughts & opinion

Just pointing out I raised the fact the view count was high (for me) as a positive for the Z4, not for me per se. It's one of the lesser known cars I have featured but the fact the video does well shows interest in the cars. It's always interesting to see how videos do, they often surprise me.

I am several hundred thousand views short of making significant cash off it!

tbh its always going to be a tough gig here with a model specific video to hardcore enthusiasts so only to be expected that the harshest critics would be found here .
Glad you are enjoying doing what you are doing , i fully appreciate how difficult it must be

It is a truth every YTer must accept that whatever you review, someone more knowledgeable and passionate will be out there to tell you that you're wrong. It's just life!

If I had to own any of my BMWs again it would be either my 645i or my Z4 MC. It was a brief but memorable affair. I don't know what I would think of the E85 now looking at it through a lens of two years of driving all sorts of metal.

Ive had the ownership pleasure of a 645ci , my one & only V8 & car that will always be remembered both bad & good :P the noise , comfort , torque , refinement & even the questionable looks were all plus points for me , the catalogue of bills i had in 6 months however soiled the experience & regrettably we parted company

I got away with my ownership experience fairly scot free - the previous owner had done most big bits. I put 15,000 miles on it, it cost me two rear tyres (that hurt), a light bulb (much trickier than it should have been) and that was it.

The one week where it ate £300 of fuel though was not so easy to stomach.

Slightly back on topic my Z4 M was a ruthless car for my local B roads, but turned out to be an excellent tool for a 2,500 mile trip around Europe. Annoyingly on my return it cost me a fortune when an O2 sensor failed.

They were the last BMWs I owned which I loved. My E46 M3 was a nightmare from start to finish.

I think it would be really interesting to see a back to back review of the 3.0Si and M car as they seem to be the pinnacle of the normal range and the “halo” car

I’ve not seen one where the two are compared back to back

Plenty say the Si is the sweet spot .. plenty say it isn’t

I know someone with an Si and I think Mr Wilks has just bought an M

I should think the si makes a better daily driver due to its lower running costs & softer edges, the M sounds like more of a fun weekend car?
Not having owned an M that’s a bit of guesswork from me, but I have driven one :driving:

I've been to many Z4 Forum meets over the years and I'd say the last people to start offering sartorial advice are members on here. Most of you look like you have an exclusive deal with Blue Harbour at M&S.

It's easy to snipe at a bloke starting out a YT channel but the negative tone expressed on here doesn't surprise me. If it doesn't fit in to the narrow view of the world that seems to pervade this place then it gets sniped at. Standing in a field with bonnets up talking about cruise control wiring looms is what passes for exciting in your lives!! Look at Shmee 150's early content. Now that was amateur but he stuck at it, ignores the haters (and there's an awful lot of them) and just keeps working hard. He's now making more in a week than 99% of you lot make in a year.

I hate how people buy a sports car and then complain about the ride being stiff :|
It reveals their mental age. The mental age of the guy in the vid is about 80 I recon...

 love it. True on the narrow view part. Can't comment on the standing in a field bit, but that is the image portrayed in my mind when I think of 'gentlemen' car meets.

To be fair, this discussion occurs seated on robust, portable lawn furniture in conservative colours.

There is no need for a sports car to be rock hard. It's not a race car. I appreciate some cars need to ride firmly, and there is always a trade-off between comfort and control, but the idea a sports car MUST be super stiff and uncomfortable is simply untrue.

Anyone who disagrees with that I'd heartily recommend try a Lotus Evora then get back to me.

In defence of the ///M, I recall my 996 on sports suspension being pretty similar. Fine on European roads. Not fine on the ones that surround me.
