Hi all, just a heads up in case you have the same problem as me, but just didn't realise yet, as it's not the sort of thing you check.
I was messing about cleaning the car as usual, and remembered that inside the fuel filler flap was a bit grubby, so got in there to clean it, and on opening the flap, I noticed the door lock button was down, i.e. car locked! Yup, solenoid dud. £45 for a replacement (Cooper). I haven't checked MOF yet, but I bet it's the water gremlin (no pun intended) again (just did roof motor last year :-o).
With the price of fuel these days, can't be too careful, although almost a tankful on such a small item is painful.
