Bet their parents are so proud

A night out during freshers week must be a walk in the park vs your typical Saturday night in Cardiff??

That lad with the phone needs a bigger t-shirt....

Next time im out shagging in the street in Cardiff i'll put a Z4 Forum sticker across my crack just to cover my modesty ;)

To be fair, cant say i've ever seen shagging in the street in Cardiff on a night out, plenty of bum groping, boob groping, tonsil tickling and maybe a tiny bit of through clothing touchy feely but not seen the full on ride em cowboy stuff. Unless by that time of night im too pi$$ed to focus and too busy enjoying my kebab while sat on the kerb on St Mary street watching the world go by lol

Ye I think that its easy for people to say... dirty students shagging in the street etc not quite so true in real life... theres plenty of other places  :P

Textbook Mail outrage! Its a freshers night isnt it? Makes me yearn for my days as an art student drinking MD20/20, Thunderbird and pints for a £1 down at the Newt & Cucumber. Happy, fun days and made me the man I am today :D

I went to some awesome Pimps n Ho's and Doctors and Nurses parties. Those were the days...

This seems like your average themed freshers event... Cardiff is no exception.

I went to the rio carnival last year... In the crowd i saw all sorts... Makes this seem like a monistery!

+1 - students on a pub crawl, getting blind drunk, eating an ill-advised carry-out on the pavement and (if they are lucky) copping off with a new friend...no violence of note to be reported but you could see bras. Shock. Horror. :|

Didn't ever do anything remotely similar when I was at Uni. Nope. Never ran through the centre of St. Andrews on Raisin Sunday with my 'Academic Brother' wearing nothing but tights and a woman's swimming costume in driving sleet handcuffed to a park bench we were given by our (equally inebriated) 'academic parents' as a gift. Wasn't me officer, I was studying

Where does it say they were shagging in the street :?

I shall go back and read again :paper:

I've seen and did worse in the student uni bars

Being young, that's what it's all about - having fun before your tossed head first into the real world

Just some students out on the piss and having a laugh, The picture is much much worse every weekend in any city centre.

+1 Uni life has always been a mix of study and being out on the p1ss. The interns who work in my business on their sandwich year work bloody hard and play hard too

Edit - journalists criticising people on the lash. The pot calling the kettle black I think :poke:

Spot on , before you know it the highlight of your year is going to a couple of Z4 meets

Im glad that the prudish topic has now been given the

With most of us seen and done worce. For most its the first time living away from parents and this is what you call a quick education. Uni is not just an education it is life education. As others have said makes you who you are.

If you get it out the way then your less likely to have discrepancies in the future.

Also if im completely honest going out in the major cities on a friday or saturday night now im not a student, I see much worse sights in the 40+ range that are divorced or separated desperate to find a new hubby and have absolutely no shame in doing so. If anything copying the younger people but the thing is a 20 year old with a small skirt and a low cut top pull it off slightly better than a 40+. No shame meaning ass and tits everywhere bingos doing the cha cha cha, and so smashed that they have no idea what they are doing.

If anything these types make up 50% of the nightlife in my local area and makes me not want to go out.

My mum recently went out on a younger work makes hen do to our local nightspot thats not a club but a late night bar with dancing. Shes not a night out person more of the rare occasion pub goer and she was absolutely appalled at the no shame people of her own age strutting 'their stuff' desperate to 'pull'.

If anything the media should be embarrassing our older culture as most cannot cope with the consumption unlike the Youngers and get in trouble, most of the fights are started by older men. There was a study done recently in the telegraph about the age of people who are arrested on a saturday night. Think you might be surprised.

Also students usually only go out on student nights which range from monday to thursday therefore who are they affecting apart from themselves and other students? On a friday and saturday night the drink is double or even tripple the price so you wont see any out on the weekend.

It's not about being prudish. Believe me, I'm no prude and I wasn't knocking them enjoying themselves, as has been said, it won't be long before they are up to their necks in debt etc.
I've been there done that myself and had a brilliant time too!
The point I was trying to make was the drinking culture in this country has gone a bit silly and some people think its ok to behave in public in a way that is unacceptable. I just put the Cardiff report on here as an example, maybe a poor one.
It's not just students, it's any age it seems as well.
I've seen a few shop doorway full on's going on and its not ok. like i said, only in England. I'm sure it goes on abroad, of course it does but it seems so much worse here.

The sort of things I was referring to are...

http://www.birminghampost.net/news/2011/05/30/outrage-over-drunken-behaviour-in-moseley-churchyard-97319-28786645/

That's just one example that sprang to mind when I saw the Cardiff report.
Surely nobody can condone stuff like this?

I'm not being prudish. I've been pissed in the street, threw up, had a snog etc but that's where my line was drawn no matter how drunk none of my friends would ever have behaved how some people think its ok to these days.
My son is a squaddie and there's no way he would do that either. (We won't go into what they get up to off the streets though!!)

Now that's pretty unacceptable

I've had sex in one of those public auto loos - is that bad ? Wasn't comfy...

Gets worse - did you know the door opens automatically after 15mins ?
