I did all my studying day release and/or night classes whilst working full time.

I feel robbed.

University has become a joke. Look at them - they are not exactly intellectual types are they.

A BA/BSc has been seriously devalued.

Daily mail playing public moralists again.
Just some students out on the piss and having a laugh, The picture is much much worse every weekend in any city centre.

Just slappers

Was going to say thats pretty tame compared to some of the stuff I saw at uni :?

I agree with nosa. So easy for people to get on their High Horse when saturday night live for the weekend types are much worse than students.

A BA was never worth anything. Science and engineering degrees are the boys not yer bloody pointless media studies and marketing rubbish. We need more people who can actually design things and make things and fewer people that just try and make money of the backs of others by acting as middlemen (or women). :poke: :fuelfire:

You rarely see this in other European cities and I've been in a few on Friday and Saturday nights.
When you do see it its usually the British. :headbang:

Being from Cardiff and knowing what a damn good night out it is and generally is very good mannered, I dont see any problem with this story or why their parents should be ashamed. The DM always bashes students out on the lash. Our parents probably did it too but didnt have the internet and digital cameras on everything to spread the photos.

So what if they go out and get drunk, they will spend the next x number of years studying, running up HUGE debt, without promise of a job at the end of it, so if they want to blow off a little steam then let them. Cardiff is renowned for a friendly fun night out and usually there is very little trouble, so I say to these students good on them!!

+1 :)

Textbook Mail outrage! Its a freshers night isnt it? Makes me yearn for my days as an art student drinking MD20/20, Thunderbird and pints for a £1 down at the Newt & Cucumber. Happy, fun days and made me the man I am today :D

I've got no problem with them getting pissed and having a good night out. It's the street 'romance' that I object to. Doesn't matter who you are, how old you are or whether its uni freshers week, that's not ok imo.

Do you object to the petty kissing, or the bum groping in particular? lol

No, neither of those! I mean the full on blatant stuff that happens and even sh@gging on the street in shop doorways etc. Not ok. Just because they're pissed doesn't mean they should get away with it.

(I don't just mean Cardiff, I mean anywhere it happens)
