Having had my 2.0 remapped recently I'm very happy with the increased power through the rev range, but it still seems quite tardy off the line.
My previous car was a mercedes with a DCT (DSG) auto box and was much better in this respect, as it should be as it's not a slush box.
Having owned many autos, I seem to remember in my youth that holding the car on the brakes and building the revs seemed to help the launch, but now I'm older and more considerate, I'm not too sure this is wise!
