jarrow: Please tell me your plan: there was someone on z4um who hand polished his with varying sandpaper grits, but the site went down before I got a chance to review exactly how he polished his. They looked a hundred times better then the high-polished chrome or aluminum ones, for my personal tastes, and I'd really like to replicate that same hand-polished look.
What grit sandpaper did you use for each step?

I'm ditching my CDV in a few weeks (got the dummy one on the way from the US).

Can't wait! Won't feel guilty when changing gear hard now (the thought of the clutch slipping slowly when I'm trying to shift quickly will be gone forever!)

I would just remove it completely as the fittings mate up perfectly without the CDV which shows that it was never meant to be there in the first place!

Bloody hell, looks like quite a job to do it??!! Especially as I don't own a jack or jack stands, LOL! Guess it's gonna be a while until I attempt that mod then :roll:
