Battery kill switch, which one and where in car ?

You could, but it would need to be in the battery compartment, which the OP wanted to avoid. And once you're in the battery compartment the isolator doesn't add much in the way of convenience.

Ah... unless you ran a longer negative cable into the boot somewhere so that you could fit an isolator inline. Then you could just open the boot to access the isolator... provided nothing could accidentally trip the isolator whilst driving!

Thanks. I misjudged how little work it is to clear the battery cover. If I install an isolator I will just put one of below connectors on the negative lead. Still requires removing cover but no spanner needed. Only need doing a couple of times a year.

I also like to have a cut off for theft protection, every bit helps :-)

Just a bit worried now with everyone's feedback indicating that it could mess up the electronics, fully draining the ecu etc. A window reset or seat memory I can live with as long as it's limited to that. Guess there's only one way to find out :D
 
I don't want to throw a spanner in the works (pun) :oops: but the kill switch will disable your alarm and theft insurance would probably be voided. Just a thought ...
 
Thanks, have all risk insurance and don't think an alarm is required for theft pay out, probably because car is from 2007.

Car doesn't have alarm, only a mobile tracker hooked to my phone and the kill switch in itself would be a deterrent.
