Battery choice

Not many e89s have start/stop. If you have it, there will be an indcator on your 'start' button, and another button next to the start button to turn it on/off.

The button that says 'engine start/stop' is not what we are talking about here - it's the function that stops your engine when at trafiic lights / starts it again as you set off.

It's ready for a new battery, the existing one is not original and not AGM . I'm told that if it's not the correct battery or it's exhausted the start stop won't work anyway. Do some Z4 have it and some not , optional extra ?

Start stop was only fitted to later N20 powered E89s,.ie 18i, 20i and 28i..

Need AGM because the E89 has regenerative braking…
