Hi everyone,
In line with the battery issues some of us are facing this winter I may need some assistance.
My car has had starting problems since I let the battery run flat last month, on and off. Anyway, finally removed the battery today and it is currently on overnight charge which I am hoping will bring it back to life, if not I'll go and buy another.
Anyway, dilema as follows, I have removed it from the car and locked all the doors etc but I am now wandering how an earth I am going to get it back in now the boot is closed. There is obviously no key for the boot. Can I use jump leads on the terminals in the engine bay to give the car some power to unlock the boot to get back in or am I going to have to find another way in.
Also, its on slow charge, will overnight be enough or longer, battery wasn't completely flat just not enough to start, all electrics were working ok. BMW dealer checked it over and said the battery was in good condition when I took it in and said there were no drains in the car.
Thanks in advance.
