Disconnected the battery to do something
Shut boot
Reflected on life for 15 mins...
I tried the key in the lock under the boot lid BMW logo. It goes in fine and turns but the boots not opening. No mechanical sound. No power obviously.
Any ideas?

The positive is under a cap to the right of the bonnet alarm sensor , on Ms you have to move a pipe slightly iirc , the earth is near the strut top mounts passenger side i think

The boot lock should work, I've used mine with a dead battery.

Not if the lock has been changed. I had this on my 330 a few months ago. Bad way to find out that neither of my keys match the boot lock... :? :o
