an z4mc in milano red, o6 reg,15500 mls,cruise control,rear parking control, rear tints ,paintwork spot on i couldn't see any marks on the bodywork,wheels unmarked,no satnav.its at evan halshaws in hull.all for £21491 :D :D :D

I would say Sub £19k for that car would be a good price and Sub £18k would be a bargain.

£21k+ is strong money.

I'm not complaining it would indicate I have made over £3k on mine.....

im going on what the prices are now,i got my 07 for £23500 and now on bmw uk, same milage and spec is for £27000 to £29000 so i think that £21491 for an 06 is a bargain imho :D

I agree, the prices are much stronger now than the turn of the year. I think the prices is fair for a main dealer. Good spec cars with low miles and the right history are pretty rare and they seem to be becoming seen as modern classics already. I think we're seeing a return to the type of value they should have, rather than the depressed values of the end of last year. Good news if you want to sell and better news if you bought a few months ago!

Got to disagree with that mate. I've never seen a Coupe for £18k.

£21k is a very good price, although the lack of Sat Nav knocks a fair chunk off.

When I bought my Roadster there were 5 cars on the market for sub £19k - 2 of those were coupe's with under 25k on the clock ;)

Since I bought my coupe in Jan, i have been keeping my eye on prices, and I've never seen a coupe for under £19k let alone £18k. A few Roadsters yes, but not coupes though I'm not saying Ive seen every one :)

I would agree with the OP though that the price of this car is good value based upon current and recent prices.

Same here on the sat nav front. I have it as it was on my car when purchased, but it really is pants. My OH likes it though as she can zoom in and out and it tells her what towns we are passing...lol!! i also own a Tomtom Europe and it's miles better,

I'm off to Brittany next week and guess what I'll be using.

Shame someone can't hack the BMW system to run the TT software.

I think the prices have gone up slightly. As far as the Sub 18k-19k cars during xmas, i think msot of them were with not much options and just standard cars. I bought mine 06 plate for 21k- roadster with all options except the cruise control with 15k on clock. i thought that was a bargain. but now similar car is probably 1-2k more.

A bargain to one person isn't necessarily a bargain to the next though.

I bought my car (those of a nervous disposition, please sit down) in March this year for a fiver short of £25k. :o

I know that's a lot, but there were several reasons I got it. Whilst I was looking, there was nothing else around that was an AUC, it had all I wanted (bar cruise - now sorted) and was in far, far better condition than the other Z4MC that I actually went to the garage to see. I'm all optioned up with extended leather, heated seats, folding mirrors, PDC, crap nav, and other bits, it had 8k miles on it, the important 1200 mile service and being in north London, reasonably near.

I'll know folk will try and say I was turned over, but I got a very inflated trade in on my Impreza and the demand was there (me).

It's all about supply and demand y'see.... :fuelfire:

My opinion, having had a Z4 with "Sat Nav Professional" is that for the £2000 as an option the BMW unit is total S**T compared to a £99 TomTom. I would NEVER pay extra for a BMW with the dreaded SatNav.

For God's Sake, the map is only updated twice a year by Navteq BV (Holland). A new DVD Disk is £200+ twice a year (or trade in your old DVD for £99.00 - before I invite the usual idiots to correct me....). Buy a £99 TomTom & get daily map updates - plus audible speed camera warnings!

Ah, the old sat nav debate....

I wouldn't spec it from new and pay the ridiculous price, but 2nd hand I think it is definitely worth having.

I've sold my Tomtom, as for the times I need to use it, the BMW Nav does the job. It looks nicer, doesn't have trailing wires everywhere, I don't have to remember to remove it when I get to my destination, I can send directions straight to it from google, it has traffic updates for free, and with the latest firmware, 2009 maps, perspective view and audible speed cameras it does everything I want it to! Each to their own I guess :)

Not me :D

The way I look at it is that you got a well specified car in excellent condition for at least £15,000 less than if you'd bought it from new. Good on yer

IMO the low prices were a little over done but the higher prices now are largely to do with the summer demand - you know the types that want a Sportscar for the summer but will probably tire of it by winter. Until all of the cars are out of warranty they will drop in price. I also think the long recession will cause a decent drop over the winter as well as the falling autumn/winter demand

late march I was offered a fantastic price on a march 2008 reg car with very low miles that I missed out on due to timing although i reckon it worked in favour of the dealer, and until those offers return I`m just going to sit tight - I`ll let other numpties get carried away paying the current summer driven demand prices

I`m a;so watching new style caymen prices as the 3.4litres are now much more economical than the M with approx same performance levels. Always been a bmw fan but the new Z4 doesnt float my boat and the cayman is the next best option - i might be willing to pay more for the new car and economy of the cayman over the old z4 M

just done a national search,06 cars at the moment are priced at £25000 so i think £21.5 is a bargain for somone who is pining after a z4mc but think that the prices are to high!!.i went to have a nosey at it yesterday and its in cracking order.on a personal note, i must say it feels great driving around in a rare car :D :D :D

Been keeping an eye on prices recently, and due to a change in job circumstances, I think now may be the right time for me to sell mine.

Mine is quite heavily specc'd - a similar one (and same age) on AUC is actually £28,995!

I have an avenue to try - but if anyone knows of someone in the market for a minter, let me know. Although it will break me when I finally let it go.

That Imola red is a bargain at the moment compared to one a couple of years younger!

I know it's low mileage, but I can't see anyone buying it for that price, especially when you could get this for similar money!

Can't believe it took a whole 20 mins before that was asked! :D

Its dependent on how I sell it (private or to a dealer). Potentially I may be interested in a swap for standard wheels plus cash my way however.
