Bank holiday weekend

I spent yesterday with a hangover, but managed some mini-hoons and a trip to get a Megs claybar kit

Today our 1st XV are in a national semi-final which will see them playing the final at Twickenham if they win, so we'll be watching that... More rugby tomorrow morning and then some car cleaning... Not even thought about Monday yet, probably spend it planning what I am going to do for the rest of April :D

Thankfully I am not working over Easter. Have my German boyfriend over and have been doing some London sightseeing. Taken him for a couple of rides in the Zed and he seemed to like to push every button going..then managed to mess up my sat nav display but promptly sorted it out when I gave him the look! It's all good. Happy Easter!

Surely being German, he would know what all the buttons are for in the Zed :)

Tim.

And what is it with all men and the cup holder?

Yesterday: did absolutely nothing!
Today: scraping the lawn in the garden to remove the old grass and roll up the old grass and then remove it
Sunday: prepare the ground in the garden, flatten the earth with a roller, new grass seed, roll it again
Monday: plant a new beech hedge all across and repair the fence

If there is time left: put an additional wooden fence next to the house as a windstopper and place a small gate in the front part of garden fence (people now get in via the big gate at the driveway)

All this comes together in 1 weekend thakns to the snow in the past weekends...

When you're retired every day is a Bank Holiday ....but without the traffic

Yep, agreed. I don't really like bank holidays since I retired last year, shops and services on reduced hours, roads full of towed caravans, even the TV seems to be crappier then usual if that were possible.

I avoid school holidays, any shops at the weekend and travelling during the morning or evening rush!

Used to surf all year round back in 70's before I was able to afford a wet suit. Newquay home town. So must be mad, defo not a northerner. Surf has been brill but not been in, it is flippin cold. Changed rear spring on Z the wind went through me so I got a BIG pasty to warm me up.

Only managed a quick read of the papers today due to the clocks going forward, hard morning on the golf course and then off to the pub for Sunday lunch with the wife, which was driven to with the top down enjoying the late afternoon sun. Hopefully get to clean and polish the zed tomorrow. Not a bad Bank Holiday weekend me thinks!

Off to a all-nighter house club reunion, yes at my tender age

If I'm not online by tomorrow evening please call A&E

Trip to Scotland to visit parents - fantastic drive. Playlist was Maroon 5, Nickelback, Black Sabbath, AC/DC and Metallica! Now tomorrow I'm going to wash all the salt off the Z which looks grey even though it's really black!

Geepee, I hope your bro is ok :(

Not done anything this weekend but rest. Oh the only thing I did do is replace the battery in the zed, as last few times it struggled to turn over and gave up on me Friday.

Got to the rugby training session I was running 30 mins late today - changed the clocks, just hit the alarm and fell asleep again. Went out shopping to find all the shops were closed :slaphead: ... Just watched the Green Lantern and developed a serious crush on Blake Livesay

Tomorrow is Z Practice Spring Clean Day, quick exterior clean, full interior workout... Full spring clean will be later in the week when I have received :

Iron X
Surfex HD
303 Aerospace Protectant...

Which I will combine with the entry level claybar kit I bought... Plus some Poorboys Black Hole and as many coats of Purple Haze Pro as my arms will take :D

After Fridays wimp out at Whitsands, have been in Saturday Sunday and this morning at Widemouth. Realy good surf, Saturday was perfect, apart from the chill. :D

312 miles, £90.00 of super, each and every one roof down. :driving:

Strange thing when I take the little 323F Sport, I'm cold when I get home. Yet in the MR I'm toast by the time I get back. Love heated seats and a good Jacket.

Last two hours cleaning the MR. Now I need to go do the outside. :)

Been seeing friends/family over the weekend but managed to kill a few things on the todo list today:

  • Two-bucket clean in the sun, with all the neighbours cleaning their cars as well - class!
  • Toothpaste treatment on the headlights (Arm & Hammer Advanced Sparkle FTW)
  • Vacuumed/cleaned inside
  • Gummi pflege'd rubbers
  • Vacuumed roof and cleaned with AG
  • Repaired some damaged wiring protection in the engine bay (£3 self-amalgamating tape - superb!)

Very satisfying! :)
