Bang for bucks (exhaust)

Thanks, I'm up north in sunny blackpool
Bugger, I was up that way twice on Saturday (J4 of M55 for my oil service). Happy to meet up if you want a listen. Just PM me if you want to do so - and I'm available most weekends as I like to make plans on the hoof!

That's too much mate. Not worth it.
2nd hand ones have been on here for £600, so a 50% premium for new ones (including taxes) doesn't seem that bad.

Beedub, I cant imagine what they might sound like with an X-pipe as well! Mine's already setting off car alarms in underground car parks!

Got mine on Ebay UK from a guy who didn't install them on his car at all, still wrapped up from factory. Paid around 690 quid with shipping out here.

thats aLOT of money, i got mine on a gropu buy, cant remember what i paid however.... dont think it was that much, but these items are soooo sellable, whenever they come up they sell like hotcakes as the usa guys snap them up...

but they offer awesome weight savings.... look great and sound insane!!! paird with an x pipe and front high flow s pipe section you'll have a sound that'll humble a TVR :-)

I want as close to tvr as possible...do you think just an rpi is as close as it would get to a tvr? Can't see how two straight six engines can sound so dissimilar. Tvr must surely drone almost as much as rpi?

MIJ exhausts of Wallsall quoted me £400 for two rear sport silencers, after the hols I am very tempted.

Good job it made it clear this was an exhaust thread. After Vegas and Budapest, bang for bucks has taken on a whole new meaning!

I considered a pair on Pistonheads a couple of years ago that were only 1000 miles old, but the asking price of £700 was too steep

RPI, xpipe, high flow cat section and you'll make a TVR wince..... this would sound like a race car......

It is, but I'd guess no-one would be able to live with it in day-to-day driving (unless you were deaf), plus you'd probably be pulled over every 5 minutes by the BIB.

I love my sound from the Carmaff cans, and the gurgle when you let the throttle off... Epic!! : P

I like a nice deep note with a good "gurgle/popping" on lift off.

RPi looks ideal for this, but will I look like a cock driving it?? On the other had maybe its worth looking "cock like" for that noise!
