Bad_Pritt's Black Pearl II - Z4QP 3.0si

Congratulations - though it has a weird roof :| :D

Mods... have you taken the badges off the sides, or were they off already ?

I suppose I have to visit the dealer to get the side badges? Any way I can order them somewhere online?

I'm sure there's a bmw shop on eBay for parts?
Car looks great, even the front fogs look clear which is unusual for an si

Dealers are your best bet - or stick a wanted ad on here if you're not in a rush

Yes, the fog lights have already been replaced by a previous owner, as well as the broken rear springs, new rear shocks, new brakes (rear), new pumps for the trunk lid and I have a folder with a big pile of maintenance invoices which I still need to go through, lol.

Funny thing: I bought the car from a Porsche Designer that worked on the New Boxster and Panamera break. Really decent guy.

I said that I wasn't planning on modding my car this time.

So in the meantime I ordered:
- black gloss wrapping foil to cover the chrome parts of the kidneys and the big ugly white side reflectors
- an Eisenmann exhaust as I can't hear my pops and bangs very well as I no longer have a foldable roof
- A CSR front spoiler lip for a sportier front end look

And I'm hesitating to get:
- spacers for the rear wheels
- leds for the built-in angel eyes
- metal sport pedals
- a shorter M gearknob
- black tail light paint to black out the enormous third brake light
- aero side skirts and possibly an aero front (not sure yet as these are pricey)

wait ... am I modding my car? :tumbleweed:

Whilst I was writing the previous reply, I realised I was still missing a short antenna and my 3.0si badges. So I opened Ebay in my browser and ... oh dear.

Don't put spacers on the rear without the front, it'll make it understeer more. For one reason and another I had 10mm rear with no front for a week and it was noticeably worse in handling.

Thanks for the head's up! I'll go with spacers in the front too then :-)
I suppose the width of the tyres makes a difference as well? I have 255 for the rear tyres and 225 for the front.

Yes, I've now switched to 245/40/18 rear as it fits better on a 8.5" rim, it reduces the stagger for less understeer, gives more sidewall for better ride and as a bonus it makes the speedo much more accurate compared to a few mph over. I've just tried a 235/40/18 on the front as I wanted more grip but it rubbed on B12 with 10mm spacers. It still rubbed a tiny bit with no spacers so those tyres are now on the 330 and I'm back to 225/40/18 with 10mm spacers.
