Hello, newbie here, to the forum if not to Zeds
Had my 2015 E89 2.0 for a little over three months which is more than enough time to tire of the base audio and the 4-pot isn't helping, so having read some posts a quick solution seemed to be a Vibe 65.4 and some better speakers.
I fitted the amp this week and while I have a couple of Match UP speakers to fit in the doors i'm currently still on the stock units.
Here's the problem... with the amp fitted i get a "heartbeat" from the speakers... a pulsing, throbbing noise - occasional crackle - a bit like when the needle hits the centre of the record for those old enough to know of these things! Turning the gain controls on the amp up and down increases and decreases the volume of the noise however it is still noticeable. Removing the amp removes the noise.
I searched the forum and did see someone else describing my symptoms but unfortunately the user didn't seem to stick around long enough for a solution!
Anyone experienced similar or have any ideas what the issue might be? I'm speaking to the distributor also but I suspect they may not have a solution.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
Steve.
