Hi everyone.
After 20 months of being zedless, I took the plunge a few days ago and placed a deposit on another Z4 3.0 Manual. I must say, it's good to be back!
I collected it earlier and headed off in to the murk of autumn, roof up unfortunately, and it was such a good feeling to press the Sport button and hear the roar again.
The first Z4 I owned was two years old, with 17000 miles. This time 'round, having bought a house, I couldn't splurge a similar amount of money, so the 'new' Z4 is a six year old 60000 mile example.
I'm pleasantly surprised that it doesn't feel very different to the first car. I'd always felt that the Z4 had a fragility not exhibited by the other models. It seems, however, that if they're well looked after they age quite well.
This car is a decent spec', like the first. Professional navigation, Carver, Xenons, Bluetooth, Cruise, CD changer, PDC, 18" alloys, Heated seats, Wind deflector etc..
I'm going to search for a used MFSW for a few days and if there's no joy, I'll buy the retro-fit kit. I want to fit the Dension ipod interface as well.
It's great to see the regulars from months ago are still here, CJ, Wondermike et al.
This site has such a great community, it really adds to the ownership experience of the Z4.
:driving:
Cheers!
