It was a brilliant day, RW & me workin on our zeds together avin a right laugh, & free coffee all day is always a bonus
Couldn't believe how well both cars looked underneath close up (cos it was me doin all the wok as Roady is considerably older than me & struggles to get about without his zimmer  )
It's a strange thing though how the 2.0 has only 1 drain/fill hole in the DIFF  Where as the 3.0 has both drain & fill holes
However with roadys array of tools & gadgets it wasn't a problem. As mentioned above in RW's post the little pump connected to a drill was invaluable. It was good to see that both gearbox oils where clean & debris free. Although in roady's 3.0 a strange red colour, & mine also had a slight red tinge, both of us thought :idunno: but now know a change of oil will benefit our zeds.
Well, this took about 5 hours because we just spent most of the time tekkin the pis$ out of each other & i had a very occasional fag break & roady needed to sit down frequently
When the job was done and roady's garage looked like a bomb had hit it we decided we had to try out the wok we had done & the only way to do that was to test the zeds on a drive to the pub
So bidding "terrah a bit" to Rita, RW's wife, we shot off
Must say my zed was a LOT smoother through the gears especially between 1st & 2nd. Before, it needed a concerted effort to go into 1st then 2nd but now it is a lot easier. So a job well done.
As the photo's in RW's post show we had to park next to a pair of Macca's which was like a brilliant end to a brilliant day.
Cheers, tug.
