Ba3bas - Tyres, Wheels & Suspension & Some Carbon Fibre

how on earth does that not rub? im having terrible rubbing issues, especially when doing more than 80mph, and yours is lower at the back.

rubs for a second on hard corners where there's a bump but it sounds worse than it actually is.
The arch is being rolled a touch on monday but once thats done, no more rubbing.

I have checked and it is the inner lip of the arch thats touching the tyre.
Had to raise the rears from where I wanted them to be otherwise rubbing all the time and need spacers for the fronts as there's no room between front shock and tyre - but at the moment I have a 5mm floating spacer doing the job temporarily.

12mm hub-centric will sort that out.

at speed the suspension is doing it's job and it's setup right so there's less squatting from the back.

Not sure i'll be at DC on sunday, need to try an plan things around to make it.
In any case, I might try and drag the missus up with me so no moaning about spending too much time with my car and all that.

Bless her she feels neglected.

Yea thats the same issue i get! large bumps & high speed corners with bumps on lol

The fronts will be your next issue with scraping though! have you moved the front wing liners behind the bumper to give you more room? with stop a bit of rubbing

Never had any rubbing on the fronts... at all in any way shape or form.
Rears now no longer rub.

Need more of a hoon but all clear.

Did you take your car to Dips?

Nah had a guy come to me from Arch enemy

They work per area and they make a living out of doing it so had every confidence.
Gave a discount as 2 cars were being done and great work all round.

As for the carbon fibre, work starts soon, just been busy with work and getting married soon so my time is taken up working and picking colours and all that.

Anyway, prep work on the splitter is slow as the bloody thing is durable and is textured so smoothing that out and have a big plasic panel to make a mould.

Once I start I will be documenting as much as I can, but it's hard work and plenty of mixing chemicals which get hot etc.
As for the car, the 12mm spacers are in and will be fitted this weekend.

Your number plate lights look as bright as your headlights

Really interested in the progress on your splitter as there's pretty much nothing on the market for the facelift bumper.

Here's the thing about the splitter.

I'm tempted to trim the lower edge so it's more flat.

For me as the car is lowered this is better but I also thinks it'll look better in general.

Like I said i'll make a few samples.

One replica, one flat edged and then a sprayed one to match car colour.

Bare with me
