Ayup strangers

Damn, that's a nice looking motor. Seems you have the female contingent suitably interested already too, so it's definitely doing something right.

Love the colour

Looks like it has over 3000bhp by the styling :D Not got a clue how fast the 2.0tfi's are???

Looks really mean John

How does it drive?

Not had the chance to drive it yet as it hasn't left Germany. I expect delivery before end of may.

I have driven the 2.0 TFSI s line and it's quick enough... For now anyway and compared to the A6

Hello stranger. If you could run your old z4 coupe on your current car scheme would you want it back?

Hi mate. Let's not go there. There's not a day goes by I don't regret selling the original Brutus

Hello again - must say I wondered if the A6 was a bit of a 're-bound' thing - glad you've seen sense and also found a decent forum substitute - I'm still struggling to find anything like this.

Hey Ho - How about an ex-Z4 forum owners meet sometime (maybe at the campsite next door to the National!) - seems there are as many ex-owners as current-owners on here!

Sounds a great idea. Be good to catch up with people.

Love the cayman S. the new one is gorgeous but a bit on the pricey side for my budget unfortunately. There are some great used ones about for around the 25k mark but you'll know that. How do you find it compared to the zed? I test drove one a few months back and it reminded me somewhat of my old coupe but just that bit more polished!

Thanks everyone for the lovely kind comments. Wasn't really expected me being a traitor and all that :D

It looks gorgeous JDM  I love the colour too TT's are such excellent head turners imo & I had a funny feeling that the A6 wouldn't last long I was like that with my old 520d they are just comfy white goods type of cars, I hope you fall in love with this one. :driving:

That's nice. That exhaust config looks like the 3.2 model
I thought that too ours has twin pipes each side & I thought the 3.2 had one each side & the 2 litre just had a twin pipe to the left, probably just sprucing the range up as the new shape launches next year, it looks the absolute business & I love the colour loads. :)

Thanks for all the kind comments guys and girls :)

I am a little bit excited.. I might just do a wee (only a little one)

I've been over on the TT Forum. They seem a nice bunch but they've got their work cut out trying to compete with you lot

Been doing some digging over there and one of the guys has just had one delivered exactly the same. Looks so much better than the Audi pics on the net

Oh and Ruby, seems that newspaper got it just right
That really looks the business  it's got a real TTRS look about it, please post some piccies when you get it. :)

Thanks Lee,

Yes the 2.0TFSI now comes with the exhaust either side. Its the diesel which comes with a twin on the left hand side. Probably because they don't make the 3.2 any longer so the 2.0TFSI is the flagship (excluding TTS and TTRS) They have started producing a 1.8TFSI. Not sure what the exhaust setup is on that one though. Maybe that's just a twin on the left hand side?

Your TTS looks fantastic . They can be picked up relatively cheap now aswell. JCT600 and Doncaster have a 59 plate for sale in black for £21k. A great used buy.

John, you are like the little black sheep of the family who comes home to show his real family his new toys.
Don't keep disappearing. :P

Thanks very much JDM  I won't mention the depreciation to the mrs! Really looking forward to seeing pics of yours it really looks the business & I think you will be happy with it. 8)

Well I guess that told me Carol lol..

I have missed this place.. There was no good forum for the A6. Probably because no-one but grandads own them haha!

I promise Ill drop by a little more often

Good to see u back, and in a sportier car again,lol....
Like Tony,i too have often thought it would be a good idea for all the ex-z4 owners on the forum.
Maybe something we could organise for the future?? :driving:

very nice John..what's the performance like vrs a z4?

brutus was very nearly the victim of my company car scheme, but I have just carried on regardless and HR have yet to mention it again...it's bollocks to be honest, the rules to qualify for the car allowance were <5 years old, <120k miles and no<4 seats. anyone would think i'm a cab driver.

when I asked why there were arbitrary rules like this I was told they were indicators of roadworthiness - I thought that's what a current MOT certificate was...strangely enough, all the donkeys in HR, who came up with the policy revisions, lease crappy base level vws and kias...I did consider a new M3 on lease but they do drink the fuel a bit.

Sounds a good idea mate. Count me in if anything materialises.

It's surprisingly nippy actually. Its the latest 2.0TFSO which pushes out 211 BHP. Think you can improve on that with a revo map quite considerably from what I've read though..

It's different to the Zed.. Its more of a cruiser than an out and out sports car. I just seem to have lost all love and respect for BMW at the minute. ... Sorry everyone. Maybe my love will come back one day

Hi and welcome back! :) -thats a stunning car!

Thanks Andy

I looked at the TT when also looking at the Z4 and as always lovely build etc but it's not a Beemer in the steer dep't.

I'm sure it will tick all the boxes :)

Tim.
