Ayup strangers

Yep. It's definitely less engaging to drive than a Beemer but as I said I've just totally fell out with BMW and what they stand for. I think their attitude towards customer satisfaction stinks.. A real shame because I did love my E89... Nearly as much as I did my E86 :(

Sorry, not meaning to rant on a BMW forum. :exitright:

Don't worry, I for one agree with you. I think it's something to do with their "BMW forever" clientelle, they don't seem to have to try and sell them. That combined with the fact BMW seem to have very little control over the franchise dealerships, meaning you have a few dealers (Sytner for one) who get a good rep but the vast majority are run by shop floor managers a-la PC World/Currys etc and treat their customers like crap.

It doesn't matter what the franchise is, its the dealers attitude at the end of the day and who represent the brand at face value. Find a good BMW dealer and all is well with the world. I remember when when I collected a new A3, it was basically here's the keys, sod off, probably why I never went back, so I can understand JDMs thinking.

each to their own - but all i'd want is the keys personally (and perhaps an explanation of the fuel cap!), i'm not one for too much razzamatazz.

I like a salesman to work for their money :)

Thanks for all the kind comments guys and girls :)

I am a little bit excited.. I might just do a wee (only a little one)

I've been over on the TT Forum. They seem a nice bunch but they've got their work cut out trying to compete with you lot

Been doing some digging over there and one of the guys has just had one delivered exactly the same. Looks so much better than the Audi pics on the net

Must admit I agree with this. I certainly would explicitly NOT want the kind of "unveiling" ceremony and all the associated cheesiness that occurs at some dealerships these days.

A dealer who wouldn't have minded interrupting their afternoon of doing nothing to try to sell us an E89 would have been a start. Two local dealers couldn't even manage that.

Nice motor JDM, those wheels are the mutts nutts - are they 18" or 19"? I took delivery of a Black Edition A3 late in 2010 which was one of the first in the country with those alloys... I just got lucky as my order was delayed :-)

As for AUDI Dealers, my only complaint has been the ones in Kent won't even talk any kind of discount, so always bought mine in the middle of the country.

That looks lovely, has a real presence, and the interior is mint!

Bloody dwarf's that MX5 though! Never realised there was such a difference.

I am really pleased with it. It's surprisingly nippy and gives you a good kick in the back when accelerating. Well it's quicker than the A6 TDI I've been in for the last 9 months anyway

And Sars, it drives very well to say its FWD, it's very lively and playful. Have to admit though I haven't been driving it hard, its only just clocked up 100 miles this weekend so still wrapped in cotton wool

Seems your neighbour has a nice car too

Yep, its Boxster S. He was out cleaning and polishing it on Saturday whilst I was cleaning mine. He's got 2 Harleys in the garage aswell. They sound like god gargling with nails :D
