Hi everyone,
So I bought this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01DGI9T9U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 cable from amazon a while ago. I would connect my bluetooth transmitter/receiver and apart from a random switch from aux to radio, it worked perfectly fine - no static noise.
Then I picked up a cheap OEM AUX socket with fascia on ebay and when my original cable snapped, I cut the female end off and was left with 3 wires shielded in red, white & yellow. Below is the OEM AUX socket that I got from ebay.

I wasn't too sure how to connect those 3 wires to the 4 pins in the socket, but as silly as it may sound, I used my ears to see which combination would give the best quality of sound (and obviously output through all the speakers) :| The problem, however, is that now I have slight static noise whilst audio is live. It goes really bad when the bluetooth device is being charged at the same time.
Is this because I did not connect the wires to the pins correctly? In which case I hope someone can kindly tell me how to do that! Or is it due to something else? Like I said, I had no issues before and the only difference is the added OEM Aux socket. Perhaps, it is worth mentioning that the static does change in pitch as I wiggle the connection into the socket.
