Auto wipers on off ?

As a side note, a friend asked whether it was relative easy to retrofit an auto dim/dip mirror…?

Yes relatively straight forward, I started it but never finished it as I missed an extra power lead out. I'll get back to it one day, then I'll fit the extra wire.
You can either have just the interior mirror or the interior and door mirrors, but I've only gone for the interior one at the moment as the door mirrors are quite expensive to get hold of. There are 2 separate VO codes for both of these, so I've just coded the one. Like I say though if I'd realised and fitted the extra wire I'd be all done well before now, and I'd have had another video on my YouTube channel by now :headbang: :rofl:

I bloody hate auto wipers!
Wife always leaves them on in the 1-series. Fine in the summer, but go out on a cold, frosty morning, start the car and away goes half the wiper rubber!

Thanks, my buddy has a basic 18i so it’s missing a lot of the ‘standard’ features..

He’s spotted that auto dip mirrors (internal) pop up regularly and are quite cheap…so it’s just the internal mirror…

So if his car is basic spec does he need to run a wire up to the mirror to enable this?
