I personally never owned one...friends and family had 4 ranging from the basic two wheel drive petrol and diesel models to the 2.6v6 Quattro..
It’s a VW/Audi parts bin exercise on a body shell which IMHO is ageing well..
The roadster is a bit cramped and if you are over 5ft 8” you feel like Big Ears driving Noddy’s car..if that translates..
DSG box will barf at some stage..early petrol engines had piston ‘ valve issues..
The coupe has quite a bit of space..a bit like an E86..
Quite chuckable, Quattro gives the usual surefooted feel but all feels a bit dull..for a daily a Quattro diesel would be good but I guess they are racking up the miles now ?
