am sure everyone know that the new Z4 is coming out soon,

for the owner of the current model, will u be ashame to drive your z, or would you still feel cool that you got one of the best car in the planet? when all those new Z driving around yous!

hee hee

like to see your view

I bought one a month ago knowing about the new model.

Preference for teh rag top any day. Folding tin top is a compromise. I'd rather have the rag top to complement my other cars, not try to beat them all at all uses.
Might wish for a 335tt engine one day but more than happy with the 3.0i.

Bangle's first iteration of the Z4 is the best (in my view).

NO mines better looking :D had the car nearly a year now and i am still loved up with her the shape still has me standing looking and smiling fantastic looking car thats why i bought her plus everything else about the car i am more than happy with and to top all that off getting two compliments about the car while at Le-Mans both by Cobra owners is the icing on the cake :D :D :D

Why would anyone be ashamed? Who cares if a new model is out
Own a car because you like it not because you want to impress others or look cool or show off

I would have to drive one first to see if its an improvement - a car has to be enjoyable and fun. Hopefully the build quality will be better and more like audi than an austin alegro

That said any news on the weight and dimensions of the new Z car?

nope- still love my car-the new one will be compromised version. The looks will grow on me admittedky but not enough to tempt me ooutta my z before Im ready. Gaza62 why you got the calibra as your profile pic (always wondered!)

There will always be a new car launched and rarely is it better. Usually bigger, heavier and more toys, but rarely better. If often seems they refine the character out.

My personal experience is my X5. A new model has come out and I still love mine. Wouldn't change it for the more expensive new brother.

I think Nissan did it right with their new Zed. It's smaller, and more powerful and refined.

BMW should have kept the size or shrunk their next gen back to Z3 size. At this point in time, I would not consider the next Zed.

Was my pride and joy for over 9 years until i bought the Z4 would not have kept it that long but got into the showing the car a little and there was nothing i really liked and could afford plus i wanted something very special as a replacement was looking at Supras but then realized i could afford the Z and never looked back. :D :D :D

The Z4 as you can imagine is a big big step up from a 1993 8v Auto Calibra still with OEM casstte player :D

Not bad looking for an old Vauxhall http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=43066

looks great- never a fan but can understand the holding ontoo it. I had a lil fiesta for a few years and it was immaculate- a friend of mine still runs it as a second car!

I would be ashamed of myself if I bought any new car. Been there done that. Never again. :(

Just like with computers-if you wait for latest and greatest, you'll never own one. I've had my coupe a year now and I'm as happy now as the day I bought it. 3 model years of production with only about 1 in a hundred are coupes. Figure I got a unique ride...... :)

All those new Z4's around me? I doubt it mate!! I have had my Z4 for around 6 months now and I have probably only ever seen 2 other Coupes on the road!! Cant see the new one being any different! :
It's not a 3 series or Audi TT!!

My Z is still the best looking and most fun car I have ever owned, there will always be something new around the comer. Compared to most we are some of the luckiest people in the world.

IMO the Z4 is or will become a classic and will look good in the future much like the XKE still does....
I'm a member of the Eastern PA ZSCCA and about 1/2 of the members drive Z3's and some of those Z3's are around 10 years old now. They still look great and those members with Z3's have no interest in something else... :driving:

I would have to agree with the majority of the responses so far. My Z4 makes me smile every time I take it out for a spin.

The only thing BMW could do to tempt me is to make a smaller and faster version of the Z4...for example, use the V8 414 bhp engine, OEM CSL 19 inch wheels :P and lower the price by 10 - 15%

The 'reliable TVR' would be fun :driving:

Not that I would entertain buying a new car while the current financial mess is going about.

From what I've seen of the new car it looks nothing like the current coupe.

One of the many things that I really like about my car is the way it looks and the fact it is a coupe. So, no, I won't be ashamed at all :D (unless, perhaps, they bring out an even better coupe version :o )
