Ok I picked up a second set of 108's in need of a refurb, removed the bolts = dead arm
The fronts split easily, bolts out, a couple of taps and they split. The rears refuse to split, i have tapped them from behind/ even mounted the edges with bricks and stood inside them
The front the nitromers dissolved the lacquer easily.... but on the rears.... they are coated in some sort of plastic not lacquer. Nitromers didnt do much impact on them, and i used a stanley knife to peel the plastic coating off from the inside of the wheels as they had a film of water between the plastic and the metal.... and it came off in strips... so i will need to sand these with my dremel i guess.
Any ideas on how i can split the rears though? They dont look to have been refurbished before as they have (or had before they corroded) the original diamond cut finish on them.
