I ran straight to the store and got a 4S with 16 gig ......the price dropped $100 and no adapters required. Poifect

The word "suckers" springs to mind......
So the tariffs are up on 02. £36 a month gets you unlimited texts and minutes and 1gb of data and a 64GB phone is £299. So thats 36x24+299.....£1163 over 24 months.
The same tariff for a simplicity sim only with 02 is £20, it is rolling but say you stay with it 24 months. A 64gb iPhone is £699 So thats 20x24+699.....£1179 over 24 months.
So pretty much the same on contract as sim only and buying the phone.
Galaxy SIII Is the same as the 16gb iPhone. But the iPhone is cheaper to buy on that tariff at £99.
Same Tariff 24 month as above for GSIII and the phone is £149. 36x24+149....£1013
iPhone 5 16gb phone is £99. 36x24+99....£963
So even if you want a Galaxy SIII for 24 months it will cost you more than £940.
All ridiculous but what do you do to get it cheaper? Pointless having a smartphone without a decent amount of data, and I use well over 1000 mins and texts a month so the unlimited is useful. Doesn't matter what phone it is whether its contract or sim only, still a rip off so might as well open up and take it deep.

They do give you greater flexibility. My dad has a business contract and doesn't bother about his phone so if he doesn't want his upgrade he gives it to me, so mine is a simplicity flexy tariff but those contracts aren't half bad as long as you are a heavy user like me.
Ye well believe it or not the Town that I live in only got 3G 2 1/2 months ago.... so the iMessage service and other 3G services were pretty hit and miss. Haha my old tariff had a cap of 1000 txs and mins and I regularly went over it. One bill came back at £72 so I changed it to the newer flexy. Friends, family, colleagues and of corse the GF, it all adds up really really quickly.
