Apple AirPods

I'm not usually one to be the first to get a gadget. Long story but my daughter managed to pick me up a set of Apple Airpods for Christmas. although released they are only available in tiny numbers per store (12 I think). Orders released in February

Birds Custard test photos show them on my desk, not just preordered :)

Couple of days now testing and they are worth every penny of the £159
Sound quality is awesome compared to any other pod style inc. my normal B&O's
Recharge in minutes and the carrier is the only around 3cmx4cm and can recharge multiple times itself
Despite concerns I cannot get them to fall out of my ears, unless being stupid, but I don't think I'd run without them tethered

Really cool that they connect to any of my iPhones, or ipad just by opening the case close to the one I want to use and can stream music from my watch without the phone. Worth testing out in the Apple shop

I like the look of those  Pretty much all of the tech in our home is Apple, Macbooks, ipads, phones, tv, etc so will have to check these out.

Was tempted to try some of these but battery life and the risk of losing them, esp when i'm out on the bike puts me off.
I have about 20 pairs of IEM's but I just received some of the most outstanding-for-the-price-yet earbuds today.
Literally just arrived in the post and all I can say is WOW! total revelation. nice frequency range, plenty of bbass and clarity in the mid-range and highs, and a really nice build quality to boot. they even fit better than my €500 Shure SE 535's!!

I hang around head-fi.com from time to time and there's often cheap n cheerful suggestions and these were one of them, Remax RM 305M:

decided to give them a whirl and am sufficiently impressed. For 10 bucks u can't ask for more!

I got the Beats wireless 3 ones as their is a wire between them. I was worried about the Apple ones in case you lost one and they cost £100 something to replace....

Re some of the other alternatives I'm sure there are many more superior headphones, but I need the built in Mike for voice calls as much as any sound quality. That and Bluetooth only, limits the options

A very nice gift, would like to try them to see what they are like

. they even fit better than my €500 Shure SE 535's!!

I'm on my second pair of 425's, I find the triple flange sleeves give a perfect fit that are both comfortable and sound insulating, just remember to trim the backs to suit the penetration.

Missed the tiny first order window and got in with 4 weeks delivery ,outlooked for 23/1/2017
Received UPS notification this morning they have shipped from China and UPS will delivery on Friday (direct from China)
CJ, delighted to hear they are as good as I hoped roll on Friday :driving: :D :D :D )

I use comply tips usually as they make an excellent seal. The 535's are maybetoo heavy as they keep plupping out of my lugholes. Lol.

Just ordered a pair, went for the gold ones, £9 delivered. Crazy price

In UK Apple Airpods are £159 and individual replacements are £69 each :)
Can you not just order 2 replacements and save £21??

Sure - except you would be without the combined docking point, charger and case. See my opening post.,

I have never been able to deal with the in-ear earphones, they always seem to fall out for me.
