Anyone seen the Olympic torch?

I was at a meeting with TfL (Transport for London) some months ago and the topic of The London Underground was brought up. Evidently around 3m per day is the peak on a busiest day, on the busiest day during the games they are forecasting over 6m :?
 
It actually surprises me that this torch thing actually ever took off considering it was started by the Nazis. are we actually admitting that the Nazis had a good Idea.

Have you seen the tube congestion map, i.e. how long you may have to wait for a train during the Olympics ? It is scary, especially if you wind in the absolute fact that TfL will NOT be presenting worst case publicly. The even scarier thing is that the train operating companies are not obliged to publish any forecasts, but there will be huge numbers of people coming into London on the overground each day too. If you are not going to any events, don't go into London. Period.

It's coming to Maidstone on Friday... Can't decide whether I care enough to go see it, or want to be as faaaaar away as possible :?

Yeah, the wife said that too. It's actually next Friday, so I can be grumpy about it for a couple more days then cave :D
