Arm rest looks like a LeatherZ from US and are fixed with 3M tape so can be removed. I personally like them being, at a more comfortable height than the standard bit of padding.
I also have one in my car - I don't tend to rest my arm on it, but I do find it extremely useful as a place to put my phone, house keys, etc in. The Z4 really is piss poor for oddment storage.
