Good to hear from you mate.
Very sad to hear everything you've been through, but pleased you've appeared on the other side.
We've had his little thing called Covid while you've been away. :)

Hope the recovery continues well and look forward to seeing you before too long.

Best wishes,
Martin

Hi Jock - glad to see your message and that your on the mend. As Martin says at least you've done this last lock down and Covid like Adam Sandler in 'Click' - there's only so much repeats of NCIS and Law and Order you can take and I reached that before Christmas!

Hi Jock.

I'm sorry to read all that you have been through, but really pleased to see that the worst is now behind you.

Wishing you all the best with your recovery and getting back out in your Z.

Yup home sweet home. Just got into bed for a cuddle and a decent nights sleep!!!!!

You’ll have had enough of breakfast in bed by now?
Glad to hear you are home again πŸ‘

Well guys it’s a year today since I had the transplant and the Doctors said the first 12 months are the toughest!!!

I’M STILL HERE!!!! 😁😁😁

Just reading through this thread I didn’t really get home properly until the beginning of October. I’d be home and happy and have a visit from a nurse on occasion and whisked back into hospital for 2/3 weeks πŸ€•πŸ€•πŸ€•

I’d been given the wrong insulin in
August so for a month I was injecting the wrong stuff and kept passing out (Hypos)
. So I spent the whole of September back in hospital but at least the wife and kids could visit me 😁

Being home now is the best thing ever and I really appreciate all the good things around me. πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

Health wise……….

Diabetes is a feckin chore!!!!! πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

I can only work mornings now as it’s just so tiring being up and about.

Sweats!!!! I’m sure my new liver is from a woman as they are unbearable 😒

I’ve asked the consultants about all of the above. Some people are back to work within 3 weeks, what about me????

The response was I’m just unfortunate to have been so ill πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I’m daily in a lot of pain (meds help) I’m in bed as I type this, but it’s bearable.

Still underweight, have to have more scans next week as there is an issue with the main artery into my liver and the quacks AINT happy with my kidneys πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

They have no idea about the sweats, they have checked my lymph nodes and I’m cancer free 🀞

Finally you guys, Jingle and MY FAMILY πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’• have all been great with your support!

Thank you πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»

Hi mate,
Thanks for the update. Lots of pluses and minuses by the sound of it, but yes, you're still here and not got the big C.
I assume you're ok to drive too? Hope you can get out in the zed once the weather warms up a bit.
Will be good to meet up and finally get that breakfast done.

Love it
At least you’ve still got a sense of humour, hope you continue to improve and get back to full health.

It was organising that bloody calendar that gave you a set back

β€œI’m still here” is the most important bit out of all of that, when you’ve had a set back like you have, and you are still here you learn to live with the other sh!t that comes as part and parcel of it

A sense of humour and positive attitude works wonders, here’s to many more half days :drinkwine:
