Anyone have a dash cam?

Does it support 64 Gb? I know the 805 supports up to 32 gb.

aquazi, I did not order from Amazon as they are "fake" with not the greatest of reviews. If I was going through the hassle to install it, I wanted the "real" one which was proven to be good.

up to 128gb cards are supported as per the spec

Here's my A118.. I'm quite happy with the daytime footage and the nighttime is acceptable as well. The form factor is what really won me over other than the price.

I got my 0803 from Amazon.. had no real issues with it - but was an EPRANCE one.. i only have a 32gb card in it.. but seems the 0806 also allows 2* 128gb cards.. so another reason to wait for that....

Yes, I could see the 0803 "real" ones on Amazon, just not the 0805.

The 0805 is fine for the Audi, I will try an 0806 in the X5 I think and probably just add another mount in the Porsche so I can swap it. I assume the cables will be the same for the 0805 so I can use the spare Power adapter lead I have and use that in the under dash socket in the Porsche.

The GoPro is what I will use for the real trips, the dashcam is to avoid insurance problems with the ever increasing number of idiots on the road ...

Anyone looking to sell on their 0803's then ?

I was hoping to pick up a cheap one for the other car, now you're all hankering after the latest models ! :D

From what i gather the 0803 and the 0805 are similar in size/ spec.. the 0805 is just better...... when i get the 0806 i'll let you know if its worth the extra, i dont care about the extra memory as 32GB was more than enough for me.. just want the ability to reverse the fit which the 0806 allows.

That is where mine came from last week, just a bit cheaper though. Seems like they must seen an influx of new purchases and hence raising the price ...

I bought from them based on the Pistonheads recommendations as well as the huge number of copies on the market which are not reliable. I know they were more expensive but I wanted a UK based company that would warrant the product as well as would provide a genuine one.

mine arrived today, looks ok but the connection to the base seems very firm, that's ok but taking out and swapping between cars my be tricky

I had the same Taz, but pull it out 3 or 4 times and then it is fine. Just the first few times it is a bit tight.

…. and for the perverts on the forum, I am talking about sliding the camera from the footing :P

I notice Adamski isn't worried about things like Dash Cams being posted in the E89 section when they are not model specific

tried the cam today, my first thoughts are 'the number plates are not very clear'

any thoughts?

Thats good... my 0803 had the base slightly wobbly.. an apparent design defect.. so i had to use a thin strip of electrical tape to stop excess vibration.. i guess they fixed that in the 0805

And yeah the plates are not clear especially at night.. as i found out when someone hit the rear of my Z late last year and i drop past them but i coudlnt read their plate from my cam.
