Better to stick 40k on a deposit for a rental house, 60k buy to let mortgage, rent out @ £500-550 pcm, mortgage approx £220 interest only, make yourself £250 pcm after tax.![]()

Could do it that way but then you have stamp duty to pay.
Or with stocks/shares you have capital gains tax.
You could probably get a decent return on it in 5 years as opposed to 10 and if you put 2,000 miles on it.
Not saying I would do it but can understand why someone would buy a car such as this at that mileage.
