Anybody else go for a drive today?

As the sun was shining I took the opportunity of giving the car a little TLC, and then decided to go and show it off a bit. My route was nothing spectacular but enjoyable none the less. On the way saw 4 Ferraris (including an F40 & Magnum) and had a lovely little drag with a Corvette. Life was good today :driving:

Where did you go?

Yep

Through Llangollen, horseshoe pass, Ruthin, Denbigh and Mold.

Stopped at the ponderosa cafe, climbed to hill opposite (about 250 feet ) to admire the view

Nice couple of hours and 45 miles

Yep, a quick trip over the mendips, via Wells and Cheddar. Roof down great fun , and the roads fairly quiet :driving:

Yep, took a drive through Storey Arms to Brecon for lunch then back to the valleys via Crickhowell. Nice afternoon to be out.
The only downside was that I had to keep the roof up  NO NEGOTIATIONS !!! Mrs D has a bad case of Man Flu and was whingeing for Wales. Never mind it has given me some Brownie Points.
Masses of Bikers at the mobile Cafe in the Beacons. Everybody enjoying a good day. :driving:

Yeah, Popped up around the Severn with Spikey & Limpmisfit to watch the Severn Bore (bit of a let down!).
Still, a nice quick drive up the A46 and then we picked off a few bits of traffic coming back down the other side of the river.

Picked off a Pigeon too, captured on the Dash Cam...

I thought you weren't available Weekends Dan ? You could have joined us.

If you hadn't have turned left at Clandon and instead turned onto the A25 for 2 miles you would have found the best stretch of road in Surrey (Newlands Corner stretch). Give me a message next time, always enjoy an impromptu hoon

Yep - went up to the Lake District (Skelwith Bridge) to meet up with some pals from the MX5 forum - beautiful day so top down all the way back (too cold to put it down on the way up there this morning). No photos from today sadly - too busy chatting to people - but I was out over Wharfedale and Ribblehead last Thursday if that's any good? :)

What roads specifically Steven? It would be nice to put together a Surrey meet incorporating some of these roads, so any ideas you have would be good. Will definitely give you a shout next time, and please do the same your end

The A25 past Newlands Corner, then take the back roads through to the (would have to look up the exact route) A272 and back up the A283 / A286 and possibly past Goodwood, great little route

There are some great roads around the A281 and Dunfold too. (Well great for Surrey.....it's hardly the Lake District)

I went from clitheroe up the through the trough of bowland to Lancaster and then on to the lake district. It was fantastic to finally get a nice day to get the roof down 8) 8)

Cracking photos guys and well jealous of locations.

Not such a glamorous drive for me on my Enfield to Wood Green commute but managed roof down both ways even coming home in the semi dark. :)

It was pretty nippy this morning set off around 9:30 and had the roof down all day, even though I had my mate moaning about it been cold, but if the suns out why not ?

Epic fail took my dslr out with me first picture the battery dies so ended up with the trusty iPhone pic.

There was a fair few mx5s out today around Windermere, and had a cheeky play with a boxer s just before I took my picture

Figured I'd been kicked out of your sessions
Not at all. Just text me if your available on a Sunday and if we're going anywhere, you're welcome.

Yep lovely drive down to Swannage and home through the new forest. Then out to Southsea to watch the USS Theodore Roosevelt come into Portsmouth. Nothing special but just nice to see the sun. Couldn't understand all the convertibles we saw with their roofs still up!
