Anybody else thinking what I’m thinking?

A1912F4A-2C66-4381-BFD3-50CAB20E8C07.jpegSo I’ve got 2 bumpers for sale in my back garden and just by chance how they were positioned the headlight scenario on the passenger side didn’t look too shabby. I know you can get the MAX POWER EYEBROWS but with a bit of fettling I think it would look good.

I have a mate who does GRP as a job so that’s that bit sorted.

Question is, is there a specific height in the centre of a headlight that it needs to be for MOT reasons. At least that would be a starting point eh?

Obviously some modelling required around the swage lines would be required and depending on how much room there is behind the bumper to add baffles for strength.

Or am I talking pants?
 
I can sort of see what you are saying.
Could be a lot of work and might, or might not look good? If you have the spare time, spare money and inclination I would say give it a go. What have you got to lose?
 
If it reminds you of MAX POWER days then it has to be a no! Those days have long since sailed!
 
If you really have to, then position the car facing a wall, headlights on and place a piece of card at the top of the headlamp. As you lower it you will see it impinging on the beam pattern. This will tell you how low the eyebrows can be IF you really have to! :o
 
To my mind if it has any appeal its in the detail in the circled area - but of course when the headlight is fitted the glass will fill this area and the lid will be flat on the top so any effects are lost.
