Any regrets with softtop?

No regrets on buying mine 6 years ago.
Mine is a daily driver and mostly motorway miles. Stays outside in all weathers and simply gets driven.
Yes it is noisier on the motorway, but not too bad.
Go for the hardtop is you don’t want to lower the roof in the winter on those rare sunny days, and you have place to store it during the summer.
Like any car, look after it and it will last.

I thought I needed the hardtop so I bought one, ended up selling it 6 months later, never having even fitted it. It just sat in the garage.... but then i had a garage.
OP the E85 and the later E89 drive/ride/handle completely differently. If you want a comfy cruiser the E89 is the one. If you want something that's more hardcore/lighter/eager then its the E85 . It's because of these differences why a lot of E85 owners wouldn't consider an E89 and vice versa

Thats for the clarification, i did mean the e89 and would probably have bought that due to the hard top and think it looks good. However glad to read i accidently bought the better car!
I will look out for a hardtop and maybe fit in once summer is over. Why does it seem impossible to buy unless your lucky enough to get one second hand? Are there no producers of these?

i enjoyed my 85, but as it lived outside the 89 makes more sense, and certainly takes nothing from my enjoyment.enzed4 said:

Love the fact that someone called the coupe a hatchback!!! That will wind some folks up. 
only that the sun dont shine constantly every day, otherwise.. i love it !
