My daughter had this happen last week, it lasted 30 minutes
Went to GP and was put straight on blood thinning drugs and referred to the stroke ward of the local hospital
Over 2 days she has had numerous blood tests (15 samples taken) , CT scan , ECG , and ultrasound scans on the arteries in her neck . She is also having her heart rate checked over a 3 day period
The consultant says it could be migraine but wants to check everything before making a diagnosis as she has only had one episode and if caused by migraine it only usually lasts a few minutes

Private healthcare? This sounds way OTT for the NHS, they're more of a die first ask questions later healthcare provider

The NHS are brilliant in an emergency;private health care providers just make money out of minor ailments in my experience. My wife and i paid for health care but when she was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour the NHS did everything and BUPA did nothing.
