Another Maldives Blue thread!

Belt on and new temperature sensor. No codes. Creator 310+ reports everything fine except compressor “inactive”. Maybe needs a new one or just a re-gas. How are you getting on with yours?

Going to get it booked in for a regas bud

Got some codes:
2724 DME: oxygen sensor after cat. conv, bank 2: signal
2717 DME: oxygen sensor after cat. conv, bank 2: activation
283F DME: oil pressure switch: signal implausible

Cleared codes but 2724 came back. No warning lights and engine seems to be running fine.
Any ideas what needs fixing and is it a DIY job?

NewTIS says this about the oxygen sensors after catalytic converter: The oxygen sensors located after the catalytic converter serve the purpose of monitoring the efficiency of the catalytic converter and monitoring the function of the oxygen sensors before the catalytic converter.

With the fault codes showing oxygen sensor after cat “activated”, does this mean it is the oxygen sensor before cat that is likely to be faulty?

I’ve not been idle with the project car.

Nasty old shocks off .BB2C2B1C-779A-455D-8EDB-6D8F62FBD0C9.jpeg

Broken drop link. Easy to dremel off at the anti-roll bar end, but a real bas*ard to get the new one one.

Refitted footwell speakers that had gone walkabout and chased down an odd wire. What’s going on here?

What’s that wire for Ben? Cd changer?

Loving the speakers btw
I’ve no idea, I just pulled it all out. The aftermarket speakers are quite loud, so I’m keeping them, but have reinstated the originals as well.

Gave it a light MOP and got it quite presentable for a weekend of motoring around.

Two down, one to go

Third piece back in the “spray booth” as a lacquer test didn’t go so well

And then to reassemble the jigsaw puzzle

I sanded down the Alu a bit to smooth out the brushed texture, then some high build primer, then paint. Several thin coats until it’s even all over. I prefer it unlacquered as the lacquer is quite hard to apply evenly and darkens down the paint.

The hardest part is disassembling the centre console, as I’m sure you know already.
