Well, took my Zed out for her first autocross today. What a blast!
The F-1's did fantastic except for a tendency to push on really fast and tight turns. Stab the brakes to plant the front end and your off again.
Learned an interesting trait of the traction control. The track got pretty greasy in the afternoon so I left the TC on. What happens is when you come in to a hard turn, especially a carousel, (very tight 360 degree turn) and throttle hard out of the turn the TC shuts the engine down for about a full second.
Stand on the throttle and there's nothing at all then it finally comes on and off you go.
Needless to say, this really doesn't help lap times.
Turning on DTC allowed more wheel spin but still cuts the engine back.
Tomorrow I'm running my slicks so no TC at all. Hopefully the ass end will stay where I put it!
