Annoying things about the Z4

hot on the heels of the 'least used extra' thread, what's missing or annoying you. I'll start:

1: No lever to tip the seats forward to use the rear storage!
2: Runflat tyres!
3: all the stuff that should be standard but isn't. ie cruise, parking sensors etc (although I got them it made buying one a lot harder)

1. Cup holders
2. Bonnet chips far too easily
3. Pads and discs REALLY expensive. Just had them done all round, and cost £1200!!

1. Runflats - I agree, but the problem can be easily rectified
2. No LSD, electric power steering. - I know, I should've bought an M.
3. Crappy seats - unless you have M seats, of course.

I find rear parking sensors irrelevant in car the size of a shoe. But I could use front sensors, to be honest...

Never had fronts done, just rear pads once......and first time for discs all round....

the lid closes with a scary clunk.
external temperature not displayed on centre console
instantaneous fuel consumption not available
no small drawer under driver seat
dipstick removed by fascistic engineering
lights a bit wishy-washy

no cup holders as standard and the 16" wheels on my car, which will both be adressed soon. :)

Your not missing anything with the cupholders got them and never use them i just don't feel confident with putting something in them

I've always got a can or a cup of coffee on the go. I'm lost without them. I looked at an MX5 and it had 4 cup holders, 2 in centre consol and 1 in each door. Talk about overkill!!

With everything else the E89 went forward........ the lack of reachable cup holders is irresponsible! putting stoooopid one in the arm rest is just dumb!

Only nitpicking, but lack of a cupholder or somewhere to put a bottle of water. Small price to pay for all the non-annoying emotions the z brings

You'd think, but the old e85 cup holders were ace!

Yes the car is way better, but how difficult would it have been to engineer in something useful to hold cups/cans.

besides, the net in the footwell holds bottles, but the heater vent blows on to it and you get luke warm water when you gasping for a drink.

The dreaded yellow lights that come on and frighten you do death untill you learn to switch off un on a few times then go away. :?

i agree with the cup holders and also when it automatically puts on the heater on when you start it first thing..... i dont want the freezing cold air blowing on me, its cold enough in the mornings!

Can you override this feature?
