Annoying things about the Z4

No when you select for windscreen it blows air to the foot wells too, so when cold it's lovely.

Tim.

thats weird cos on mine, when i select it, it fires air only to the windscreen at full blast and then i can turn it down if i need to.... it doesnt send air anywhere else

This is correct I had it on today. Don't use the normal selector just hit windscreen and turn the fan down

Position of the n/s wing mirror causes (me) a blind spot when pulling out at junctions.

Runflats on 19" wheels do not work, so will be coming off. Too much banging, jarring and jumping on poor surfaces. No wonder there's an issue with cracked alloys

X2. Let me know what improvement you get if you beat me to it :D

Thanks for that, when I select for windscreen it also select for the footwells, you can't select windscreen only. So if you turn the fan up full it will just select windscreen only?

Tim.

Hate that if there is any moisture on the roof at all you cant open your window even an inch or else it runs off and in the open window on to your right knee when you drive off....
Headlights on full beam have quite good spread but I find depth/distance very poor....
Hate the small air vent at knee level on dash, knee's either frozen in summer or roasted in winter....
Steering wheel doesn't adjust out towards you far enough for me when seat set just as I want it...
Seat bolster on seat base has a hard inner something that gives me a dead right leg on longer journeys....

All these are wee things that you can only discover after having the car for a while, not on a test drive, although I dont think they would have put me off.

well mbe the water off the roof thing...haaate that!!

One thing I spent all sunday doing was repairing my door seals. I noticed that nearly every Z suffered from it at the Cumbria National Meet, where the protecting layer of the rubber had come off and left patches not very sightly.

With a bit of interior detailer to clean, rubber restorer (thanks to Mr Wilks) elbow grease, and some tyre shine it has sort of gone back to normal. Was like that when I bought it only just got round to sorting it.

The stereo , the standard one is poor , The upgraded one is good but not as good as its cost would imply

The shite service I had from Westerly Barnstaple when I had a leaky car!

Rattles and squeaks that's about it. And I don't want to read this thread any more just in case I start agreeing with you all about the other stuff.

So I am out.
