Having traded in my E89 I am selling a few bits which I took off before it went.
Next up is my android head unit, wireless apple car play adapter and Idrive controller
The headunit is Model number AL-8224-GNBX-8.1
The head unit works perfectly fine, BUT there is an issue with the corners of the screen.
I rather foolishly took apart the screen a few months ago to stop the annoying rattle/squeaking and fitted some felt tape along the edge of the unit on the inside.
This caused the top two corners to become "distressed" behind the outer glass screen (the very edge of the corners are completely smooth but look crazed)
The bottom right corner is worse and the front screen has come away in the very corner, though this cannot be seen when the screen is in the car as it is covered by the cradle.
The damage is only in the very edge of the screen, in the black stripe that runs around the edge, outside of the area that displays a picture.
I masked the crazing on the top corners with black ink and covered the screen with a tempered glass screen protector and it looked fine.
The screen comes with two more custom tempered glass screen covers (I have removed the tempered glass screen cover I had on to take the pictures)
