Well, it's almost identical to my car even down to being a Dec 06 car and had it been available for sale back in November I'd have bitten his hand off at that price. Let's not forget that built into that price is the £850 ish that has been spent to extend the warranty which makes it something approaching a risk free proposition as a private sale (subject to a decent inspection)
It also has the desirable (to some) options of Sat Nav and Bluetooth. I wouldn't use either but I know when I come to sell I'll get phonecalls from people whingeing about the absence of these two items but this is the cross I must bear to have an uncluttered dash.
As for the comment about that being the price of an 07, that may be so but not for long. Given the Z4MC had no significant changes in its short life, i think once all cars are out of the first three years of warranty( 1 year tops) we are going to see some parity on price in respect of age. Price will then be driven by condition, colour choice and options.
Finally, not much experience of Dick Lovett, but I went to see a Carbon Black Z4MC they had, and it had spent the first 15 months of its life unregistered in the compound of the supplying dealer but had managed to rack up 1100miles. Whether they were actively hiding this from me, (until I scrutinised the paperwork) or simply didn't know will remain a mystery. Always wanted to buy from Dick Lovett Hungerford though simply because it's near where I grew up.
