Amazon Fire TV

The rules on the Forum do not merit the advertising or indeed support of illegal software (mail to do with Nav CDs). Tweaks to TV Firesticks etc which by pass the normal requirement for subscriptions to any particular company would also appear to be covered by this. Allowing such content in posts may well jeopardise the Forum or at worst make 'us' liable in the event of any litigation by a legitimate company who can cite such content as a direct result of legitimate revenue loss so please........DONT DO IT! :!:

Thought the stick was a HDMI connection, not USB? Why is the USB needed?

Ah - thought it plugged into a TV USB plug, which I have on another TV. Never looked close up but you are right, it is an HDMI stick, not a USB one ....
 
I just upgraded my firestick to the new fire TV box (4K)

It has an ethernet port aswell as faster CPU and more memory. A week in i've experienced no lagging and the general performance around kodi and assoicated addons is much quicker

PS Genesis seems to have gone offline but has been replaced with Exodus
