Amazon bargain springs!!!!

A few people over on Audisport.net had them fitted. Most didn't rate them much, likewise with the coilovers. If you can fit them yourself then I guess it's worth a punt but if you have to pay £100 to get them fitted then another £50 for wheel alignment then it probably makes more sense to throw in a another £100 or so and go for some Eibachs or H&Rs.

What did they say on Audisport? Poor ride? Not low enough?

Getting them fitted will cost me a pack of beer ;)

The general opinion was that they were a bit crashy. S-line shocks probably didn't help. One guy felt they weren't low enough but he later fitted Vmaxx coilovers and turned his car into a daisy cutter.

If fitting isn't going to cost you much I'd say it's worth a punt.

I've had a look on various other forums today regarding the FK springs. Results are:

Fiat forum - springs are great
Passat forum - very low, crashy ride
Audi forum - Crashy ride
Opel/Vauxhall forum - crashy ride

I also found a thread on here saying that the quality of the springs isnt great, and that the springs aren't progressive.

On this basis, I'm not going to buy them. I think I'll hold out for Eibachs

I think the Fiat brigade were in a Punto or something... I was more surprised at the Passat - which was REALLY low :o

They have been reduced £16.76 + £9.99 postage!! Bargain! Would they fit my E86 3.0si coupe???

Yes, they'll fit a coupe. One forum member has fitted these, waiting for a report, I am thinking it's game on again

Guys a 40mm drop is massive... I reakon the top of the tyre will be level with the arch when looking straight on making the side of the arches flare out...

I think the near side rear on mine has snapped anyway so for £27 it's worth a go. If they are too low I'll have to try something else! I also need a rear tyre so have been looking around and figure I should replace both, that's nearly £500 so might be buying wheels instead!

I bought some earlier. In that guys thread, it doesnt look too low so should be fine.

Worth a punt at 27 quid.

ITS ME!........guilty as charged. Fitted these last week. Fitted to a 2.5 E85. Actually only dropped my car by 35mm all round. Yes car is low, watch for speed bumps, but still goes over without hitting.
I'm happy with the ride quality. Obviously its stiff but I would say no more than standard. Have included a couple of pics before and after. I was the same as everyone else, at that price nothing to loose, Wish I'd waited a week though, mine were expensive at £18!! :D
