Amazon bargain springs!!!!

ITS ME!........guilty as charged. Fitted these last week. Fitted to a 2.5 E85. Actually only dropped my car by 35mm all round. Yes car is low, watch for speed bumps, but still goes over without hitting.
I'm happy with the ride quality. Obviously its stiff but I would say no more than standard. Have included a couple of pics before and after. I was the same as everyone else, at that price nothing to loose, Wish I'd waited a week though, mine were expensive at £18!!

Thats the kind of drop im looking for so hopefully mine will turn out just nicely!

What was the delivery time for yours John?

Delivery time was less than a week, DHL Germany.

the drop looks pretty good. might like the front a bit higher but for 18 pounds u cant complain

i'm on another car forum and these were the responses when i said i was getting some fk springs for £26 delivered.

Lovely car, enjoy reading the updates, nicer tan anything ill own etc etc

but millions developing the "ultimate driving machine" and your going to put some FK springs on it, genius

FK is abosultly rubbish s**t stuff, ive had a set on my 172 cup the previous owner fitted and removed them as they were made from old trollys

at least go with a reputable brand such as eibach etc

Ben FK is total trash honestly you cant be that tight you cant buy Eibachs. Jesus wept.

Can't believe your going to fit £4.19 worth of spring to each corner.

They must be old swingball coils or made by madmike for them to be making a profit on that

doesn't look very promising  i will make my own decision though. the standard ones can't be that good (were replaced in 2009 due to snapping).

I think the price is too low to make them viable, or FK are making a huge loss.

I think H&R are the way to go, had these on last Z4 and it hadled very well, flat and firm.

£15.08 + £9.99 now on amazon. £13.58 + €11.99 direct from FK!

It seems FK do this sort of price cut for various makes and models, as googling the brand brings back a few other 'super cheap' FK deals that others have had. The regukar price of most of their springs is £150+ so this price is insanely cheap.

I'm still stupidly tempted, as the price is so good, its worth a punt to see how they drive. My last Z4 was on H&R 35mm springs and was low, stiff, and struggled with bumps, but it handled really nicely. Hmmm... must.. stay... away.. from... 'purchase'... button... :fuelfire:

Late night car part shopping has beaten me... ordered, ready to be fitted along with new wishbones, bushes, drop links, braided brake lines, 5.1 fluid...

Dam it! Mine were delivered today, but I have been tending to a family drama so they have been taken back to the depot, which is about 20 miles away!
Wish the drama had been worth it!!

Mine are in the post.

I got a quote for fitting them which was a shock... £230!

I'm having lower control arms, droplinks, arb bushes, braided brake lines fitted, and including fitting springs and 4 wheel alignment, quoted £595! All parts except arb bushes provided by me.

This feels a bit much just for fitting and alignment. Agree?

Got mine today also. The front springs have hardly any coils compared to normal car springs. I'm fitting them myself so save on fitting costs :D

I'm tempted to fit myself, but with all the other work going on, it seems logical for it all to get done in one go.

2nd garage has come in with a quote of £162 for the fitting of springs, at the same time as all the rest, totalling £492 :?

Ooh, now these are tempting!! Not sure if I would get up the drive though either :headbang: I think I may be happy to find out though for that money! (just hope that with the new spaces on they will fit!) :D

I wanted these but adamski researched some shipping to Canada for me and it was 100 which would make these not such a good deal...

fitted the rears today (very easy for anyone wanting to have a go)

before (had msport springs on as it's an 03)
