Over on Alpina-Archive, they quote a production run of 373 and as Kees, the person that runs the site, has access to factory documentation including the build sheets for all the cars, I'd be inclined to accept his figure as being accurate unless someone has access to more accurate data
Certainly closer to a real number than 500, thanks for sharing.
Yup, Kees is the numbers man
The service history of #264 can be described best by this extract from the report we had done on it on 9th August 2012...'The car is showing just over 23,800 miles but has no service history whatsoever. there is no service documents, nor Owner's manuals, Alpina or BMW. There is an NMR (National mileage Register) report prepared in Aug 2008 for Dick Lovett, Swindon stating a mileage of 13,462. The dash clocks indicate an Oil service is due' I have a recollection that there is record of a service being performed by DL when it was sold by them at 13,462 miles or thereabouts. Other than that: nothing. i checked with ALPINA UK, and they have no history for the car whatsoever other than that stated.
It was almost a perfect fit 8)
