32 years 0 points 0 bans...did get stopped in the Westfield once doing about 118 in a 60 limit, young pc said he was doing over 140 to catch me but it was my lucky day as he hadn't got a reading on me...he seemed quite keen on my car luckily!!

Not far behind you,

23 years 0 points 0 bans, I drive like miss daisy in built up areas...but as soon as I see the NSL sign I take that as you can go as fast as you can...so I usually do!

No point in having a quickish car that costs a fortune to fuel if you are going to potter about! :driving:

I have to admit I have been pulled over a few times too for driving a little over enthusiastically but I've managed to sweet talk my way out of things & that's fair play to the guys that have spoke to me.

Think it all depends on whether you're taking the piss with them really. I think he was more concerned for my safety as he said that fibreglass splinters are not nice. He also said he had only pulled me cos he had to show all the cars that I (and he) had overtaken that he did stop me.

I got banned for 139mph on the M1...

It was a silly thing to do...

Its not big , its not clever but it does have a certain kudos :P

27 years / never banned , 3 points 6 years ago were my last ( 3 i got 5 years before that)
137MPH top speed travelled on tarmac  can,t remember where  but it was in a 1998 Nissan Silvia turbo & would not go any faster :P

Yep agreed,

With the benefit of being older you do realise that.

I was actually going a lot quicker and didnt notice the unmarked car until i was slowing down to come off at the sliproad to come home.

I quite regularly used to hit max speed, which on a modified Fireblade is considerably faster than 139mph.

I had a Nissan Silvia Turbo, but i think mine was a 1985...was a quick car for the day..

Must be the type of car, Perry ;)

34 years Zero points/bans, but 3 or 4 'tugs' including a 5am 127mph motorway max-out in my Alfa GTV6, fortunately the officer was a petrolhead and a fair guy who mentioned his dislike of the meat factory explosions on the tarmac that he has to pick up and sent me on my way for which he had my respect 8)

35 years 6 points, both stupid money making traps on slow dual carriageways.

40 limit, done for 46. Copper on a bike a long distance away. Saw him speed up the hill behind me with his lights on. Medium traffic. Sped up a bit to overtake and free up the outside lane so he could get to the emergency ok. Got pulled over and said, unbelievably, he had estimated my speed from when he was at the bottom of the hill by counting in seconds when I had passed two posts on my right nearer the top! Was really angry but decided just to pay up. Would have had to had a day off work and travel to a court some distance away to fight it. Found out the cops just drive around in a circular route collecting money.

50 limit, done for 57. Was passing very slow cars on my left, tailgater on me and was going down a flyover towards a permanent camera a hundred yards after the bottom on the flat. Concentrating on slowing down without being hit up the back. Cops had put a temp camera at the bottom with the van hidden under the flyover! Complained with a letter but they wouldn't have it.

Both episodes really fostered my trust in the Police. :x

23 years with 0 points. I consider this nothing less than miraculous. Although I would say that since doing a few track days, Im much more conservative in my driving nowadays.

27 years, too many points to remember really - been to 9 on two different occasions. I'd guess somewhere between about 27-33 points. 3 still on licence from getting done doing 92mph on the M1 cruising back from the Z4 Forum National meet two years ago. He was following me from 1/2 mile back. No bans, no write-offs. In my defence I used to do between 30-45k miles a year with work so points per mile of driving is probably no higher than most peoples.

4 and a half years with clean sheet so far.

Honestly aside from the huge and somewhat unnecessary debate, a speed camera detector can be a worthwhile investment IMO.

22 years, 6 points (3 for speeding, 3 for red light) all clear now for last 6 years and 2 stolen cars (1 Astra VXR :( & 1 Mini Cooper)

35 years been up to 6 points, speeding moneycams. Now on 0.

Had a Nissan 350z up to 173 on a runway over fuelling by 25% with consult II plugged in.

44 years, never crashed, nicked, prosecuted for any driving offence......ever. Been stopped plenty though

10 years driving, 3 points SP30 4 months after passing test, all clear now. Many tellings off from the local 5-0, always manage to talk them around (No funny business).
