The ongoing saga of the aircon not working, after using INPA and finding no immediate notable issues I have now scanned with Carly:

Air Conditioning

Fault code: 000008
Relay GEBLAESE max / Relay auxiliary fan / Waermetauscher sensor left / AUC sensor / Info AUC sensor / Rear blowers / Dme-ac / Water valve / Free 0x0F / 15 free
Interior temperature sensor in the control unit / Suction errors / Supply voltage RMP / Rear compartment flap motor IHKA / Pressure sensor / Clamp 30 / Nc 8 / Geblaesepotentiometer / Free 0X08 / Waermetauscher sensor right
Auxiliary Heating
Fault code: 0000DA Vorkatsonde 1 signal swing / CDKCHDEV - CAN timeout HDEV / Signal KVA2 / CAN module warning level reached / FS backrest head: blocking front / Internal index 233

I'll get on google, but anyone had experience of these?

Stuart

after doubting myself, went back and checked the green wire... again
And................. ?

Its fine and dandy
Kind of annoying. Would have been a lovely simple answer.
Sorry mate, not a lot I know about aircon. Done probably the same googling you have, but it's not really helping.
Look on the bright side, if you'd gone and bought a coupe you couldn't even get the benefit of the fresh air. :D

I do keep consoling myself with that fact!!!

Ah well

I’ve popped my central ac control panel out to see if anything obvious- the sensor in the dash is very gunked up so will see if that makes a difference

I note that I don’t think you can swap hvac control panels out like for like- without coding

But- if the sensor is defective could you replace that? Looks like it unscrews?

Off to look for the relays now
