Afe intake - anyone tried this?

my friend has this intake and it round brilliant it really does, we dyno'd our cars on the same hot day he show a 3bhp gain :-) their was no loss for sure......

it just sounded lovely as well, really angry CSL esq noise..... i was impressed anyway.
 
I'll be interested to know what you you chaps think of this once fitted and driven for a while. Where are you buying it from?
I'm considering this whilst I ponder if I'll be able to get insurance for a blown ///M :D

If it is me you are talking about, I never mentioned that I was having any MAF/heatsoak problems. I just stated my observations as to what I saw and felt.

Tell them it is a fuel saving mod, and chose an insurance company with an Indian call centre so they will believe anything :D

I think you'll find their T&Cs state that they work out the 'delivery' time only from when they despatch it, and doesn't include 'processing' time :P

So if they haven't got it in stock, they'll have to wait until it arrives from the US before sending it to you, and all of that will count for aught towards the 'delivery' time.
 
Have they confirmed that they will deduct the delivery charge (excess) as that is normal business practise.

Offered £5 refund. Still not arrived in the UK yet. They should state if these are special order items. I could have got one direct fron the States by now.
 
I'm getting impatient for you!

Well my laser eye surgery was a success and now I'm off with some friends on holiday for a week. Once my bank account stops crying, I'm going to order one. I might do it before I leave so that I miss out all the waiting time.

Poor show on CA for not saying it's a special order item/not in stock. :thumbsdown:
 
I would never use CA again, didn't have a good experience dealing with them - AFE intake is mega tho', you will enjoy the induction roar when you eventually get it...

I have my own choice words for what "C" "A" stands for :x And I know I am not alone :thumbsdown:
 
I don't think there are any other suppliers/distributors in the UK though? Unless you can recommend anyone?
 
Maybe, i'm being 'Scottish' I.e. Tight - But £340 seems OTT for an open filter with an enclosure than won't do "Much"

Bet it sounds cracking tho!
 
It is expensive compared with the £75 I spent on a JWT popcharger intake system for the 350Z! Our options are limited it seems, so have no choice
