Afe intake - anyone tried this?

Does that mean you can't raise a Paypal dispute now, as it'll be over 45 days.

Maybe that's part of their cunning plan :evil:

I Know! And I pointed this out to them.

The good news is, it just turned up at CA Automotive. The Bad news is, AFE have sent them the WRONG ONE AGAIN! :headbang:

CA are going to refund me today, send me a free bulb kit & have another go at getting me one. Once they have one they are going to call me. :|
 
Z8Cookie, just saw this. I have an AFe kit. I bought mine from the US, even with the shipping and import taxes it was still a lot cheaper than buying from CA. I may have even bought it through the US through eBay. Can't remember now. But check out the costs, you're probably better off, although it would have been more complicated if there were any problems with the product, with it not being a UK supplier.

Look taken.... One seller on eBay @ £350 delivered. After duty & VAT is added when delivered, it works our much more. Oh well.

Refunded today & free spare lamp kit in the post. To be fair they have been very concerned about this & have kept in touch throughout. The are going to let me know when they have one in stock.

Don't forget you will more than likely get hit for VAT & Duty on top when they deliver it if it comes from the States!

Noise for me as well. Still waiting to for one to arrive :tumbleweed: Not had the free lamp kit as promised as well.

sent from private person as a gift :-) no fee's :-)

i buy a huge amount of parts from the states so know all about those pesky charges........... this is a cheap way to et an AFE kit :-) i bet tom will except 300 bucks for his kit as well!!!

That does mean you're willing to risk losing any monies paid, as if it goes missing in transit the insurance will only cover the cost as declared. Zero declared retail value = zero compensation :thumbsdown:

You've also got to have a partner/supplier willing to risk being found complicit in tax evasion (evasion of VAT & duty) :P

Had one or two items held up in the past when they were suspected of being purchases rather than gifts, however the person sending them in Canada had actually bought them as a gift and could prove it, so they were both released after 4 months :headbang:
